The Hearing Voices Choir is a living example of recovery in action.
Drawing on personal journeys and lived experience, Choir members promote their own healing whilst spreading the message that recovery from mental illness is possible.
The Choir has been entertaining and educating people about mental health since 2008.
Rehearsals are held weekly at Lismore and membership is open to anyone in the community whose life has been impacted by mental illness.
By connecting people through song, we aim to create opportunities for recovery for people with mental illness.
Through public performance, the choir aims to increase awareness about mental illness and promote health and wellbeing.
